The Scribe Returns For about a decade now I have abdicated my self-imposed ‘duties’ to produce a blog of past times and memorable residents- many now forgotten - of my hometown of Melton Mowbray in the East Midlands of Leicestershire. During this time I have continued to pursue my serious interest in discovering the history of my town and to increase my stock of informative stories and facts. The good folk at Google seem to have stored my existing efforts safely and completely during my absence in their ‘Blogspot’ website which I now intend to cull and refashion it to its current existence.
